Hello friends πŸ‘‹
One more month has passed, which means we have reached the third issue of This Month in Solid!
I know I said it last month, but I appreciate all the fantastic feedback I've gotten in the past months. It makes me super happy that this has been useful for you.
Before we start looking at what happened, let's review how This Month in Solid works.

The format

Inspired by Ryan Carniato This Week in JavaScript and SΓ©bastien Lorber This Week In React, I plan to publish a compilation of updates, posts, and videos about the Solid world at the end of every month.

Each post will be split in the following way:

  • Solid Updates: updates from the core team, organization, or documentation.

  • Ecosystem Updates: updates from people building stuff for or with Solid.

  • Found online: videos, posts, and tweets about Solid and/or Solid-related topics.

  • Things to look out for: announced things related to Solid and its community.

The goal is to give you a monthly update about all things SolidJS. So, without further ado, let's dive into our third This Month in Solid.

Solid Updates

SolidStart 1.0 RC - Progress so Far

SolidStart 1.0 RC - Progress so Far

As you might be aware, the SolidStart 1.0 RC was finally released last month!

In this discussion, Ryan reviews some reflections and thoughts since the release. Ryan also goes over the two concerns holding back the release: CSS Handling and Handling Preload Errors in the Router.

If you have any thoughts on these points or any other design concerns/high-level issues with SolidStart, feel free to add them to the discussion!

You can read more about it here: github.com/solidjs/solid-start/discussions/1458

The Solid Docs now include Solid Meta

As you might have noticed, we have been trying to make our Solid Docs the source of truth regarding Solid packages. We already had Solid, Solid Router, and SolidStart. This month, the Solid Docs have welcomed Solid Meta.
The docs are still in Beta, so as I've said before, we are looking for your feedback and suggestions on them.

You can check the Solid Meta docs here: docs.solidjs.com/solid-meta

Solid Fellowships to support the maintainers of Kobalte and corvu

As we were getting ready to wrap up the month, an exciting announcement showed up:

Two new Solid Fellowships have been awarded to Jasmin and Jeremy for their fantastic work on corvu and Kobalte.

A huge congratulations to them πŸ‘

Are you using Solid in production?

On April 23rd, Dave tweeted this:

So, if you are using Solid in production (in any capacity), we would love to hear from you!

You can do it in public or in private. Just make sure to tag or reach out to Dave, Atila, or me!
